Mi investigación se expande hacia la crítica de la producción masiva en la industria de la moda, explorando su impacto ambiental y cultural, así como las dinámicas del híper consumo que caracterizan nuestro tiempo.

Los ‘haceres manuales’—como el bordado a mano y los teñidos naturales—son ejes fundamentales en mi obra que no solo resaltan la belleza de lo artesanal, sino también su poder de resistencia frente a la automatización y la producción industrial. Este enfoque me permite trabajar con materiales respetuosos con el medio ambiente, al tiempo que celebro las técnicas ancestrales que han sido transmitidas de generación en generación.

En un mundo saturado de estímulos inmediatos, donde la capacidad de asombro y de introspección se ve opacada, busco ofrecer a través de mis prácticas manuales un refugio para la meditación y la conexión interior. A través del bordado, transformo lo textil en un medio de expresión artístico e introspectivo. Este acto, repetitivo y meditativo, de labor acumulada, se convierte en un proceso de registrar la memoria y de dar cuenta del paso del tiempo.

 

Mi obra también explora la relación entre el movimiento y el espacio, buscando crear un diálogo entre el espacio físico y el metafísico, donde el material y la forma se convierten en vehículos para reflexionar sobre nuestra conexión con el entorno

My research expands towards the critique of mass production in the fashion industry, exploring its environmental and cultural impact, as well as the dynamics of hyper-consumption that characterize our time.

‘Hand-made processes’—such as hand embroidery and natural dyes—are fundamental axes in my work that not only highlight the beauty of the artisanal, but also its power of resistance against automation and industrial production. This approach allows me to work with environmentally friendly materials, while celebrating ancestral techniques that have been transmitted from generation to generation.

In a world saturated with immediate stimuli, where the capacity for wonder and introspection is overshadowed, I seek to offer through my manual practices a refuge for meditation and inner connection. Through embroidery, I transform textiles into a means of artistic and introspective expression. This repetitive and meditative act of accumulated labor becomes a process of recording memory and accounting for the passage of time.

My work also explores the relationship between movement and space, seeking to create a dialogue between physical and metaphorical space, where material and form become vehicles to reflect on our connection with the life around us.
