"Echar Raíces", invita a reflexionar sobre la interconexión vital entre el ser humano y la tierra. Así como las raíces de las plantas se extienden y buscan nutrirse del suelo, el ser humano encuentra su identidad y bienestar en la naturaleza. Esta analogía subraya que nuestras raíces no son solo metafóricas, sino que representan una necesidad tangible de conexión y equilibrio con nuestro entorno natural. La obra nos insta a reconectar con nuestras raíces, a valorar y proteger el entorno del cual dependemos y que, a su vez, nos define y sostiene.
Confeccionado con tejido de fique, un material natural y sostenible, cada fibra de esta pieza está impregnada de los colores de la naturaleza, gracias a tintes de origen natural: cúrcuma, repollo, tinta de frijol y semillas de achiote. Estos tintes no solo aportan una paleta de colores orgánica y vibrante, sino que también refuerzan el mensaje de la simbiosis entre el ser humano y su entorno.
Cada hilo y tinte en esta obra teje una narrativa de pertenencia y respeto hacia la naturaleza.

Made with fique fiber, a natural and sustainable material, each fiber of this piece is impregnated with the colors of nature, thanks to dyes of natural origin: turmeric, purple cabbage, black bean's ink and annatto seeds. These dyes not only provide an organic and vibrant color palette, but also reinforce the message of the symbiosis between humans and their environment.
Each thread and dye in this work weaves a narrative of belonging and respect for nature.
